Things to know:

Double glazed windows are constructed from a frame which is usually uPVC or aluminium, and are glazed with two panes of clear glass. For privacy the option is to use obscure glass – this allows light to pass through but doesn’t give full visibility either side of the glass panes. For large windows toughened glass is used to construct the final product whether it be a door with a large glass size or oversized windows. These double glazed units can have different types of glass as described above, which can also be clear, blue or grey glass – the coloured glass has a tint which reduces some of the light’s intensity coming through the glass. The style and decoration is optional e.g. Georgian or Leaded patterns.

Doors are constructed from uPVC, aluminium or composite materials. They can be available as solid doors or with full or half glass whether clear, obscure or patterned glass.
